The appointment of the Chairman of the Delta Printing and Publishing Corporation (DPPC), Olorogun (Dr) Ebenezer Okorodudu as an Executive Director in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) has continued to generate positive reactions.
Recall that Dr Okorodudu was appointed by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to fill the void left by the former Executive Director in the Commission, the late Sir Talib Tebite.
Consequently, indigenes of the Agbor community in Ika South Local Government Area, yesterday, visited the DPPC headquarters in Asaba, the state capital, to felicitate with Dr Okorodudu on his appointment. Speaking during the visit, the spokesperson of the Agbor Kingdom, Prof (Engr) Adagbonyin Obiaza expressed his appreciation to Governor Oborevwori for recognizing and honouring a friend of the Agbor Kingdom.
He also appreciated the DPPC Board Chairman for his numerous good deeds in Agbor, saying, “We want to place on record the invaluable contributions of Dr Okorodudu to the growth and development of Agbor Kingdom including Agbor Model Secondary School, Dein Primary and Secondary School, admission of our sons and daughters to higher institutions of learning as well as employment to many indigenes of Agbor.
‘’So, saying Okorodudu is a true friend and helper to Agbor is not a fluke. Agbor people have come to rejoice with you on this elevation the Almighty God has blessed you with. God is not biased. He has seen your heart of gold and your inspiring disposition to be of help to people and at His timing has decided to reward and uplift you’’ he said.
Responding, Dr Okorodudu appreciated their visit by acknowledging everything they said. “The beauty is not just in helping, but in helping a people that are grateful. I was expecting this, I knew the plans you have for me, I cannot take the love you have for me for granted. God blessed me with the energy to deliver. I’ll always deliver on any assignment”
