In a significant display of leadership, the newly appointed Executive Director of Projects in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC), Olorogun (Dr) Ebenezer Okorodudu, has hosted three crucial meetings at the commission’s headquarters in Warri.
These strategic engagements align with the MORE agenda of Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, demonstrating DESOPADEC’s commitment to meaningful development and inclusive growth across Delta State’s oil-producing communities.
Dr Okorodudu, whose appointment followed the passing of Olorogun Taleb Tebite, emphasized the importance of media partnership during his meeting with the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) Warri Chapel.
Drawing from his experience as former Chairman of the Delta Printing and Publishing Corporation (DPPC), publishers of The Pointer, he pledged to strengthen the Commission’s media relations, acknowledging the crucial role of accurate information dissemination in achieving DESOPADEC’s developmental goals.
In separate meetings with the Urhobo Nation Host Communities and DESOPADEC Indigenous Contractors Forum, the new EDP demonstrated his commitment to addressing grassroots concerns.
He assured both groups of his intention to work closely with the Commission’s Chairman, Chief John Nani, and MD/CEO Chief Festus Ochonogor, to address pressing issues including host community recognition and contractors’ welfare. This collaborative approach reinforces DESOPADEC’s dedication to sustainable development across its mandate areas.
The engagements highlighted Dr Okorodudu’s inclusive leadership style and his determination to enhance DESOPADEC’s impact through strengthened stakeholder relationships.
