DESTMA To Sensitize Road Users On Traffic Rules Compliance

DELTA State Traffic Management Authority, DESTMA has announced plans to sensitize road users in Delta State.

According to the DESTMA Chairman, Chief Peter Idion, the sensitization programme will commence 9th January 2025, at the various Motor, Okada and Tricycles parks in Ika South and Ika North East Local Government Areas.

Chief Idion said that the essence of the sensitization programme was to properly educate road users on the need to comply with traffic rules in the state, stressing that compliance to traffic rules is very relevant as it will help safeguard lives.

He disclosed that the traffic sensitization programme will be extended to other local government areas in the state. He therefore advised road users in the state to comply fully with DESTMA efforts aimed at bringing sanity to the state. He warned that any traffic offender will be penalized.
