The Delta State Government has announced the immediate suspension of Favour Obakoro, also known as Vida Modelo, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Morals and Diaspora.
A statement issued by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr Kingsley Eze Emu, explained that the suspension was necessary to allow security agencies to investigate allegations that she used her position as a government official to fraudulently obtain money from various individuals.
The government reaffirmed its commitment to accountability and transparency, assuring the public that due process would be followed in addressing the matter.
In a related development, Governor Rt Hon. Elder Sheriff F.O. Oborevwori has approved the appointment of Chief Ighoyota Amori as Chief Adviser to the Governor.
