DTSG Assures Collaboration With JPs

THE Special Adviser to the Governor of Delta State on Peace Building and Conflict Resolution, Chief Edwin Uzor has promised to collaborate with the Association of Justices of the Peace (AJP), Delta State, in promoting peace and development in the state. Uzor made the promise recently when a delegation from the Association (AJP) paid a courtesy call at his office in Asaba.

While urging them to be professional in the discharge of their duties, Chief Uzor noted that Delta state has remained one of the peaceful states since the creation, expressing appreciation to the Association for their commitment to peace in communities and the state at large.

He further reassured them (AJP) of the Government synergy and pledged to carry the members along during sensitizations and workshops. Earlier, the President of the Association, Chief Samuel Odjoji applauded the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborewori for his effort in ensuring that communities live in peace with their neigbours.

Odjoji reaffirmed that the Association would synergize with the State government in promoting peace across the state, while appealing to the government for an allocation of land to the Association to build a Secretariat.

Highlight of the event was the decoration of Chief Edwin Uzor as a member of the Justice of the Peace, Delta State.
