DTSG Drums Support For Women Empowerment At IWPC

THE Delta State Government (DTSG) has expressed its support for the International Women’s Prayer Conference (IWPC) aimed at empowering women by strengthening their faith in God.

The wife of the Governor, Deaconess Tobore Oborevwori, made the remarks as a guest participant at the event  of the conference, which was held on Saturday in Asaba and hosted by the The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM).

Represented by by the wife of the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Catherine Onyeme, she described the conference as a powerful experience that positively impacted the lives of the attendees through the word of God. She praised the event’s convener, Bishop Peace Okonkwo, for encouraging women to trust fully in God, assuring them that any challenges they faced before the event would be resolved through faith.

Following the conference, Mrs. Onyeme confirmed her intention to participate in future IWPC events, accepting Bishop Okonkwo’s invitation to upcoming conferences this year.

Bishop Peace Okonkwo, who led the service, preached about the importance of having unwavering confidence in God’s miraculous works, urging Christians to trust that God’s deeds will always surpass expectations.

The IWPC, which began in Asaba 20 years ago, has grown into a significant gathering of devoted Christian women who come together annually to witness God’s wonders. The conference also featured the distribution of food items to women who attended the event.
