THE Chairman of the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC), Mr. Chiedu Ebie, has advice Nigerians to persevere in face of the harsh economic conditions in the country.
Mr. Ebie, who gave the advice in his Independence Day message titled “Enduring Tough Times for a Brighter Future,” called for perseverance and hope. He drew on the metaphor of life’s cyclical nature, comparing the struggles and hardships the nation is facing to the earth’s rotation, where night inevitably transitions into day.
His message highlighted the economic challenges, inflation, insecurity, and political instability currently plaguing Nigeria, acknowledging the difficulties without minimizing their impact.
His central message is one of resilience. He emphasized that tough times do not last forever noting that Nigeria has a long history of overcoming adversity.
He, therefore, encouraged Nigerians to keep believing in a brighter future, reminding them that every hardship contains the potential for renewal and growth.
