THE recent recognition of the Agbarha-Warri Monarch, HRM King Kingsley Orereh, Igbi II through the presentation of a Staff of Office by the Delta State Government has continued to elicit commendation from well-meaning Urhobo sons.
The vice chairmanship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for Warri South Local Government Area in the forthcoming local government elections, Hon. Kingsley Edafiadjebre, has joined the fray, praising the Agbarha Monarch for the the prestigious Staff of Office from the state government.
In a gesture of affection and respect, Hon. Edafiadjebre acknowledged the significance of the honour, highlighting the monarch’s influential role and the promise of continued prosperity and purposeful leadership for the Agbarha kingdom.
A copy of a press statement released by the media aide to Edafiadjebre, which he personally signed read: “this event in the life of the Agbarha people marks a significant milestone in the history and socio-political development of the Agbarha Kingdom.
“The presentation ceremony of the Staff of Office, attended by dignitaries across the globe because it is indeed an event we looked forward to with nostalgia, is a reaffirmation of the monarch’s authority and the rich cultural heritage of the Agbarha people”.
Hon. Edafiadjebre, in his felicitation message, stressed the importance of preserving cultural heritage and the pivotal role traditional rulers play in promoting unity and community development, just as he showered accolades on HRM King Kingsley Orereh Igbi 11, for his steadfast commitment to the well-being of his people and his efforts in promoting peace and progress within the Agbarha kingdom.
He expressed gratitude to the Delta State Government and reiterated a commitment to service if he becomes the vice chairman of Warri South LGA.
