EFFURUN-OTOR kingdom in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, yesterday installed its 16th Monarch, Orovworere of Effurun-Otor kingdom, Eyareya 11, His Royal Highness Michael Eyareya
The emergence of HRM Michael Eyareya came after he was recently elected as the Otota of Effurun-Otor kingdom.
The epoch making event started at 9:20 am with theoldest man in the kingdom, Pa David Ohre performing some traditional rituals, after which he lowered the crown on the new Monarch, Eyareya II, which sparks jubilation among the people of the kingdom.
The new Orovworere of Effurun-Otor, Eyareya II who expressed gratitude to the chiefs, who stood by him during his election as Otota and thereafter, urged the people of the kingdom to remain peaceful and pray for him to lead them aright.
The new Monarch later honoured some distinguished persons in the kingdom with Chieftaincy titles
Speaking on the side-lines, some prominent Chiefs in the kingdom including, High Chief Jonathan Duku, the President General,Chief Francis Uzoh,High Chief Anthony Duku and Secretary of Effurun- Otor kingdom, Chief George Ijobor expressed gratitude to God that the installation ceremony went smoothly and peacefully.
They called on the people of the kingdom to continue to be peaceful so as to attract more development to the kingdom.

The emergence of the Orovworere of Effurun-Otor kingdom, Eyareya II,HRM Michael Eyareya , followed the transition of immediate past the Orovworere of Effurun-Otor Kingdom HRM Dr. Johnson Duku (JP), RDN II two years ago.
