THE newly sworn- in Chairman of Ughelli North Local Government, Olorogun Barr. Jaro Egbo has assured all the council workers of a good welfares and conducive working environment.
He gave the assurance at the Council Secretariat when he officially received the handover note from the Head of Personnel Management (HPM), Mr. Timothy Ase.
Hon. Egbo commended the effort of the HPM for running the affairs of the Council for the past months, urging him to support his administration to make ughelli North an enviable council in the State.
While touring the Secretariat, Egbo frowned at the bad state of facilities in the council secretariat and assured the workers that their welfares as regard conducive and good working environment will be his topmost priority, but said his administration will not tolerate absenteeism.
in an interview with journalists, the new Ughelli North Council Boss promised to work with the local government legislative arm and other stakeholders including security agencies to ensure the problem of insecurity is solved in the area.
On the issue of sanitary, he reiterated his commitment to ensure that environmental department or sector of the council rise up to their task by implementing clean environment and sanitation rules and order.
The Chairman further pledged his administration’s alignment with the M.O.R.E agenda of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s government, aiming to bring the dividends of democracy to his constituents.
He also called for partnerships with relevant national and international agencies to implement his administration’s blueprint for economic transformation and development of the council.
