Isiokolo, the headquarters of Ethiope East Local Government Area played host to leaders and stakeholders from Ethiope East in a town hall meeting organised to brief the people about Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E developmental strides across the state and to also get feedback from the people about their needs and to prioritise the needs. It was also an interactive session with Ethiope East Leaders of thought, Academicians, Community Leaders and Stakeholders.
The Deputy Speaker Delta State House of Assembly, Olorogun Arthur Akpowowo, used the opportunity to array how the current administration has favoured Ethiope East with strategic appointments and the development plans Governor Oborevwori has for Ethiope East. “For the first time in our political history, Ethiope East has the Deputy Speaker, Director of Protocol, two Special Advisers, Commissioner for Higher Education (A Super Commissioner), Board Chairmen and members with retinues of Executive Assistants, Senior Special Assistants, Special Assistants and Political Aides, His Excellency has done well and noble.
Akpowowo, also reminded the Governor, who was represented by the Senior Special Adviser on Political Matters Sen. Emmanuel Aguariwvodo, about three special projects in Ethiope East that needed speedy response. He listed them to include the Kokori-Erhanaka-Ofuoma Bridge and road (Agbon 11); Oguezi and Ugono Road (Abraka) and Okorogba-Okurekpo-Okpara Inland roads.
The Deputy Speaker seized the opportunity to seek validation of a vote of confidence on His Excellency Hon Sheriff Oborevwori The Executive Governor of Delta State, the motion was seconded by Prof Andrew Ekakitie and was unanimously approved by the good and wonderful people of Ethiope East.
