..Calls For Unity, Rebuilding Of Ewu Kingdom With Monarch

THE wife of the traditional ruler of Ewu-Urhobo kingdom, HRM Ugonwa Onwuneme-Ikolo has called on the people of the kingdom to bury their differences and join hand with the traditional ruler to move the community forward and come out stronger as a kingdom, in Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State.
She made this call and appeal when she visited and presented food items to Okuama-Ewu internally displaced persons at Ewu-Urhobo community.
The Queen mother of Ewu-Urhobo, who also presented food items to the internally Displaced Persons at the IDP Camp, held that she stands with Okuama people and Ewu-Urhobo kingdom and affliction will not arise again.
Items presented are Cartons of indomie noodles, cartons Kings groundnut and two 50 kg bags of rice respectively.
Addressing the people at the camp, she said, “This situation is not what I will wish my enemy because it was a hard one but we thank God for life and when there is life there is hope.
“Before we were born God knows this will happen and for everything that is going on, we need patience, the grace and strength from God to go through this and come out stronger as a people, community and as a kingdom.
“When I came in, I saw how happy the children and women were and the warm reception given to me was awesome.
“They want to go back to their natural home stead because this a temporary camp and I know that the state government is doing all that within its powers to rebuild Okuama and to relocate them back at the earliest possible time.
“And it will be a thing of joy, it is my believed that my next visit will be at Okuama where I would want to meet with them from door to door and dance with them all just as the government is doing all that they can to send them back to Okuama.
“I want to appreciate everyone here for their mental strength and abilities to withstand all that is being thrown at you and for the fact you have maintained some levels of decency, I appreciate all of you.
On the unity of Okuama she said, “A kingdom divided against itself cannot stand and I am calling on all well-meaning persons of Ewu-Urhobo kingdom to join hands with my husband, His Royal Majesty, Ovie Clement OghenerukevweIkolo to rebuild not just Okuama but our kingdom as a whole.
According to her, “To know that peace is what will bring development to all of us because of we keep having disturbances, our child will be the ones to bear the brunt.
“We don’t want to have a generation of children who have missed education, we want to have Engineers, Lawyers, Aerospace engineers and scientists coming from our communities. “I would applaud and enjoin each and every one of us to please put whatever your differences out it aside and come together and build with the traditional ruler, let us forgive each other.
“It takes nothing to be nice and kind and if we keep fighting because of our personal egos, our wives, our children are bearing the brunt of it.
“There should be no more fighting,there should no more I support this or that but let peace reign.”
