THE traditional ruler of the Ewulu kingdom in Aniocha South Local Government Area of Delta State, His Royal Majesty, Obi Godwin Onyeweuwa (JP), has stripped two traditional Palace chiefs of their titles.
This was contained in a public notice, dated 20th December 2024 and signed by the monarch.
According to the statement, the action of the Obi was necessitated by their recent conspiracy and embarrassing actions they have caused the kingdom.
The affected chiefs are; Chief Anthony Ezechie (aka MOPOLO), who before being stripped of his title by the Obi was the Akalamu of Ewulu and Chief Chiedozi Ashimeluma, who before the Obi’s action, was Asiegweli of Ewulu.
The statement added that the withdrawal of their titles is in consonance with the tradition of the land and that their actions ran contrary to the oath of allegiance they swore to uphold in the kingdom.
