THE Deputy Governor of Delta State, Sir Monday Onyeme has lauded the member representing Ndokwa West, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi’s empowerment programmes, saying that they aligned with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s M.O.R.E Agenda.
Onyeme made this statement while presiding over the presentation of empowerment items to beneficiaries at Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government of the state.
He recalled that Hon Ezechi had donated palliatives to victims of flood and rainstorm disasters and commissioned a market he built for the Umusadege Community of Utagba Ogbe.
While admonishing the beneficiaries against selling their items, Onyeme encouraged them to be proud of their respective endeavours and shape their future with the empowerment gesture. He also assured the people of more benefits from the MORE agenda.
Also speaking at the occasion, the Commissioner for Urban Renewal, Engr. Mike Anoka advised the beneficiaries to justify Ezechi’s gesture by ensuring meaningful utilization of the items donated to them and called for strict monitoring of the beneficiaries by the political leaders.
Earlier, the Ndokwa lawmaker, in his remarks, assured the Ndokwa people of more dividends of democracy, even as he explained that his empowerments were in line with his campaign promises.
He emphasized that the artisans should not confine themselves to their trades but diversify their business ventures.
While paying glowing tributes to Governor Oborevwori, Sen Ifeanyi Okowa and the Ndokwa people for ensuring his election victory, he vowed to justify the mandate and confidence in him.
One of the beneficiaries, Mr Prince Agha, on behalf of others, thanked Hon Ezechi for the empowerment and pledged to make judicious use of the items given to them.
