Ezewu Commends Teachers’ Dedication Amid Challenging Conditions

The Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, has lauded the dedication and resilience of teachers in the state, particularly emphasizing their steadfast commitment to maintaining high attendance rates as School commences despite difficult economic conditions.

This commendation came after a series of school visits in Agbarho where the commissioner witnessed firsthand the determination of educators to keep academic activities running smoothly.

During her visit, Mrs. Ezewu expressed her admiration for the teachers, noting that their hard work has ensured uninterrupted learning for students, even in the face of economic and transportation challenges.

“The dedication and resilience of our teachers, even in these tough times, is truly commendable,” she said, acknowledging the sacrifices made by educators to uphold the state’s educational standards.

Mrs. Ezewu highlighted that teachers attendance has remained consistently high, a reflection of their professional commitment. She stressed that maintaining such high standards under challenging conditions speaks volumes about the quality of educators in Delta State. “It is this level of dedication that assures us that our children are in good hands,” she said.

Mrs. Ezewu also reassured the teaching community that the government is aware of the challenges they face and is actively working to ensure that these challenges are addressed.

She acknowledged the need for better resources and infrastructural improvements to create a more conducive learning environment for both teachers and students.

“Plans are underway, she said, to address these concerns through various initiatives aimed at uplifting the state’s education sector.”

She urged the teachers to remain steadfast in their roles, assuring them that their contributions were not going unnoticed, as she reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that teachers are better equipped and supported to continue their vital work in shaping the next generation of leaders in Delta State.

The highlights of the was the schools visited which includes; Unity model School; Orere Secondary School; and Agbarho Grammar School, all in Agbarho Ughelli North.
