Ezewu Demands Strict Adherence To Standards

DELTA State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, has called on all Chief Inspectors of Education (CIEs) to strictly adhere to the education standards set by the Ministry across the state.

Speaking at the monthly meeting of Chief Inspectors of Education at the Education Resource Centre Department Hall in Asaba, Mrs. Ezewu emphasized the importance of responsibility and best practices. The meeting aimed to enhance the education sector through collaborative efforts and the exchange of valuable insights, providing a platform for sharing ideas and information crucial for the inspectors’ duties across the Local Government Areas.

Mrs. Ezewu expressed displeasure at the negligence exhibited by some field offices, particularly regarding irregular school inspections. She stressed the importance of regular inspections as a statutory function and encouraged the inspectors to diligently carry out their duties. Inspectors were reminded to submit summary reports of their inspections to the Headquarters for further action.

Highlighting the established rules and regulations governing the operations of field offices, Mrs. Ezewu underscored the necessity of ensuring efficient and effective teaching and learning processes through stringent Quality Assurance measures. She emphasized the critical role of inspectors in upholding these standards across all schools in the state.

Mrs. Ezewu called on the inspectors to be exemplary ambassadors of the Ministry, stressing the significance of their roles in shaping the future of the state’s education system. She urged them to remain committed to excellence and integrity, expressing confidence that their collective efforts would lead to significant improvements in the quality of education provided to students.

The Commissioner assured the inspectors of the Ministry’s continued support in their efforts to elevate the state’s education standards. The meeting concluded with a renewed sense of purpose and commitment among the inspectors to drive positive change in the education sector.
