Delta State Commissioner for Secondary Education, Mrs. Rose Ezewu, has inaugurated the Delta North Monitoring Team to enhance oversight and ensure compliance with educational policies in schools across the region.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Ezewu emphasized the importance of transparency and accountability in school administration. She noted that the monitoring team would play a crucial role in ensuring that schools adhere to government regulations, particularly in areas such as enrollment fees, student welfare, and learning conditions.
“The government is committed to providing quality and affordable education. This monitoring team will help ensure that schools operate within the approved guidelines and that students and parents are not subjected to unnecessary financial burdens,” Ezewu stated.
According to the Commissioner, the members of the team include Mrs. Erezi Ikomoni, Mr. Aghogho Oguori, Mr. Callistus Okwuokei, and Mr. Emmanuel Ijeh.
Ezewu tasked the monitoring team with conducting regular inspections, engaging with school authorities, and addressing complaints from parents and students. She urged them to carry out their duties with integrity and fairness, emphasizing that any violations uncovered would be met with appropriate action.
