THE Chairperson, International Federation of Women Lawyers Asaba Branch, (FIDA) Barr. Stellamaris Mejulu has attributed the successes and achievements of FIDA to God’s benevolence.
Speaking at the 2024 FIDA thanksgiving service held at Redeemed Christian Church of God, Asaba. Mejulu who led the female lawyers in Asaba to the occasion, acknowledged God’s guidance and wisdom in the discharge of their mandate of promoting, protecting and preserving the rights of women and children in the society. She said ”By the grace of God, I Mejulu your daughter have championed this great association for the last four year. When we started I came to this altar with my people to dedicate this administration to the Almighty God, seeking for his divine guidance and be at the hemp of affairs.
“Over the years, we have engaged in different cases, travelled far and near, confronted the high and the mighty in the society seeking for justice, it is not by our making but God’s divine protections, discernment and blessings which was evidence in our lives and families.
“Here we are today, returning all the glory to God Almighty. And to all members of RCCG, Asaba thank you for having us this blessed morning. We owe all thanks to God our maker for the achievements and milestones so far. On this premise, we commit the incoming administration to God, and we trust that in his infinitely mercy them we will uphold the mandate of FIDA above their predecessors”, she said.
Earlier, Pastor Esonye Stanley in her homily, admonished her congregants to be soldiers for Christ as trained, tried and tested. Esonye reeled out the attributes of a soldier as to be dependable, reliable in all ramifications, deliberate, intentional, delightful, must be saved, prayerful, full of God’s word, and fear God above all. Pastor Tony Ede, in his remarks, hailed FIDA, Asaba Branch for standing, advocating, protecting and preserving the vulnerable. He prayed for more strength, boldness, wisdom and grace to execute and accomplish their mandate and objectives.
