ISSELE-Mkpitime Empowerment Hub Foundation, in line with one of it’s objectives of providing the training needs of youths in the town, have presented educational materials to students of Okalete Comprehensive Secondary School, Issele Mkpitime, Aniocha North Local Government Area.
Making the presentation at the school premises, the Chairman of the Foundation, Chief Mike Mgbanwa, stressed the importance of education in life and said that the presentation is meant to improve the quality of reading and learning in the school.
He told the students that education is in their interest, adding that they should respect their teachers and be obidient to them.
Chief Mgbanwa reminded the students that the teachers are training them for a better future, urging them to learn a skill after leaving secondary school to become employers of labour, noting however that acquiring a skill does not stop them from furthering their education.
He stated that things are very difficult now due to the poor state of the economy so the students need to take their studies seriously to ensure a better life in the future.
The Principal of the school, Pastor Patrick Nwalupue, thanked members of the Foundation for coming again to do presentations to his students.
He revealed that he has been to many schools in the course of his carrier but have not seen this type of support any where before.
The Principal said that the items presented to the students will go a long way in making their learning process easier.
Items presented included books, dairies, mathematical sets, biros, pencils, erasers, among other items.
Other members of the Foundation are Dr. Rita Obatolu, Dr. Jude Nwaulune, Dr. Uka Nwaobi, Mrs. Eunice Onyema, Mr. Sam Ijeh and Dr. Emmanuel Mokwunye.
