The Senior Policy Adviser to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Chief Funkekeme Solomon has congratulated the Deputy Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, RT. Hon. Arthur Akpowowo, on his birth anniversary.
In a statement made available to Journalists, Rt. Hon. Solomon, who was also a former Deputy Speaker of the State Assembly, rejoiced with Akpowowo for the progress he had made over the years as a politician, even at 53.
He noted that as a one-time State Youth Leader of the PDP, a former Special Adviser and later Commissioner for Urban Renewal, the Deputy Speaker left a track record of achievement, which stood him out as a servant – leader.
Rt. Hon. Solomon, who was also a Commissioner for Works and Senior Political Adviser to former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, stated that the Deputy Speaker would not be forgotten for breaking the jinx of opposition in Ethiope East, where the APC had dominated the political space some years past.
The Senior Policy Adviser praised Arthur Akpowowo for working harmoniously with the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, to ensure stability and effective leadership of the State Legislature, adding that the celebrant’s impact on the life of his constituents had been quite commendable
The Ojobo-born political tactician encouraged Arthur Akpowowo to continue to be a good ambassador of his Eku community, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the State Assembly and the state at large.
While wishing the Deputy Speaker the best in the years ahead, Rt. Hon. Solomon prayed God to grant him good health, long life and the enablement to accomplish more for the state and humanity.
