Give Us Access Road, Ogordo Community Appeals To DTSG

The people of Ogordo Community in Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State have pleaded with the state government to construct an access road linking Anioma and Ezi Community.

During a recent campaign in the Ogordo community, a concerned resident, Onwumelu George highlighted the community’s dire need for an access road stressing that the lack of a road has hindered economic growth and development, forcing farmers to consume their produce themselves due to the inability to access nearby markets like Afor market in Issele- Uku.

George appealed to the state government to assist the local government in repairing the dilapidated road, which has caused flooding in the community during rainfall noting that the community’s topography makes it prone to flooding, exacerbating the need for a reliable access road.

Speaking to our correspondent, the Monarch of Ogordo, HRM Obi Sunday Olisanweokwu, expressed disappointment over the community’s lack of access road, forcing residents to park their vehicles in neighbouring towns like Onicha-Olona and Ezi.

The Royal Father urged the state government to address the community’s plight, underlining its rich mineral resources that could be harnessed to improve the lives of residents.

HRM Olisanweokwu further assured the PDP chairmanship candidate, Hon. Emma Chinye, of the community’s support in the upcoming election, hoping that his leadership would bring desired development and human capital development to the agrarian community, where farming is the main occupation.
