Goru Inspects DESOPADEC Ultra-Modern ICT Centre Project In Ogbe-Udu

As Olisa Flags-Off Construction Of Hall In Oduga Secondary School

THE Urhobo ethnic representative in the Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, (DESOPADEC), Hon. Oghenekaro Goru, recently, inspected the ongoing construction of an ultra-modern ICT center in Ogbe-Udu Secondary School, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.

Hon Goru, while speaking to journalists during the inspection, said that the project was part of the Governor Sheriff Oborevwori’s More Agenda to bring meaningful development to the oil-bearing communities of Delta state.
He said that the ICT Centre would enhance the development of the students and increase their learning efficiency in Information technology.

Hon. Goru expressed satisfaction with the standard and quality of work done on the project, while urging the contractors to ensure the timely completion of the project. He also commended the community for their cooperation with the contractors.

In the same vein, the Ndokwa ethnic representative on the board of DESOPADEC, Dr. Charles Olisa has flagged-off the construction of an Assembly Hall at Oduga Secondary School, Ushie, Ndokwa East LGA.

During the ceremony, he instructed the contractor to ensure the timely completion of the project and adhere to the bills of engineering measurements (BEME) issued by the Commission.

Dr. Olisa said: “I would like to assure the school, Ushie community, and the entire Ndokwa ethnic nationality that DESOPADEC, under the leadership of Olorogun Barr John Nani (Board Chairman) and Chief Festus Ochonogor (Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer), is committed to delivering significant and meaningful projects that align with the state government’s “More Agenda” mantra, led by Delta State Governor Elder Sheriff Oborevwori.

Responding, the Principal of Oduga Secondary School, Mrs. Esther Ugbeh, stated that the project would be extremely useful and assist the school in its academic processes upon completion.
