Governance: Oborevwori Acknowledges Ethnic Groups’ Contributions –Aguariavwodo

THE Senior Political Adviser to the Governor of Delta State, Senator Emmanuel Aguariavwodo says Governor Sheriff Oborevwori will continue to recognize the contributions of various ethnic groups towards to his election and the successes recorded since the inception of his administration.

Senator Aguariavwodo said this when he visited the Isoko North and Isoko South Local Government Areas, Delta State in continuation of his tour and interactive session with political appointees and stalwarts of  the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 25 local government areas of the state.

The SPOLAD said that the Rt. Hon. Oborevwori believed strongly in Isoko people as they had, like groups, helped to raise the profile of Delta State to an enviable position, adding that votes from the Isoko Nation helped to propel him into Government House in 2023.

Senator Aguariavwodo observed that most of the founding fathers of the party in the Isoko nation were still in the party, adding that the labour of the Isoko people will not be in vain but will be rewarded.

The SPOLAD said that the M.O.R.E. Agenda of Governor Oborevwori is also an Isoko Agenda, stressing that they should hold, protect and guard the government and the PDP for it to keep providing good governance to the people.

“The governor is working hard to sustain and maintain the peace prevalent in the state”, he posited, adding that “the Governor wants the people to be profitably engaged in productive activities that will enhance their socioeconomic life”.

Senator Aguariavwodo advised the people to shun detractors and divisive people who brought nothing but mismanagement, hardship and hunger in the land maintaining that unity of purpose was what is giving the Isoko people benefits.

According to him, “whatever issue that exist in the party is in-house and will be resolved amicably among them”, he said.

Earlier, the Chairman of Isoko North Local Government, Hon Elder (Prince) Godwin Ogorugba, Majority Whip of Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA), Hon. Bernard Odior, the state Commissioner for Health, Dr Joseph Onojaeme and others who spoke applauded the governor for the good work he was doing across the state.

They expressed profound appreciation to Governor Oborevwori, particularly for providing them with a College of Health Technology, the Faculty of Medicine, and the ongoing work at the Emevor-Orogun road.

They said the interest of the governor supersedes everything and that the Isoko people were happy with the government, promising that they will not disappoint the governor and the government as the leaders will work together in 2027.

Besides, the local government Chairman, Hon. Comrade Warrior Ovoke Friday, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Rt. Hon. Johnson Erijo, members of DTHA for Isoko South 1 and 2 Hon. Bino Obowomano and Ferguson Onwo, respectively, the Commissioner for Lands and Survey, and Chief Emamusi Obiodeh, among others, were at the town hall meeting when the SPOLAD visited the Isoko South local government area.
