THE National Executive Chairman of the Joint National Transport Safety Committee Nigeria (JNTSCN), Mr. Taiwo Oluwadamilare Mogbojuri, has commended the Delta State Government for their proactive steps in partnering with the JNTSCN on several critical initiatives.
This collaboration, highlighted in a recent publication, focuses on Truck Transit Parks (PPP), Truck Operational Safety Compliance, and a Unified Truck Transport Management System in the state.
Mr. Mogbojuri stated that the boby is thrilled to see the Delta State Government taking significant steps towards improving road safety and operational efficiency for truck transit, adding that this partnership will undoubtedly bring about positive changes and set a benchmark for other states to follow.
In the same vein, Chairman of the JNTSCN in Delta State, Mr. Armstrong OkoisorIkemefune, has expressed his support for the Delta State Government’s commitment to enhancing road safety and compliance.
Mr. Okoisor applauded Governor Sheriff Oborevwori of Delta State for his alignment with the Federal Government policy and their dedication to implementing these objectives in Delta State.
He reaffirmed the JNTSCN’s commitment to working closely with the Delta State Government to achieve these goals and enhance the overall safety and efficiency of truck transportation in the region.
Key areas of collaboration include; Truck Transit Parks which entails establishing well-structured truck parks to manage the parking and transit of heavy vehicles efficiently, Truck Operational Safety Compliance is to Ensure all trucks adhere to national safety standards and regulations and Unified Truck Transport Management System which will see to the Implementation of a cohesive system to manage and monitor truck movements across the state.
