The Speaker, Delta State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor, has felicitated with the Dein of Agbor kingdom, HRM Benjamin Ikenchuku, as he marks his 47th birthday anniversary.
Rt. Hon. Guwor described the Dein of Agbor as a great king whose approach and style of royalty have given so much visibility to the traditional institution, not only in Delta State but the nation at large.
The Speaker’s goodwill message to the Agbor Monarch on his 47th birthday was contained in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Mr Nkem Nwaeke and made available to journalists in Asaba, the Delta State capital.
Guwor stated that the birth anniversary is a celebration of life and leadership, even as he looked forward to many more years of peace and progress in the Agbor kingdom under the monarch’s guidance.
The Speaker acknowledged the leadership qualities of Dein, stressing that his selfless service to his people and society at large is remarkable. Rt Hon Guwor added that the reign of the traditional ruler has been a blessing to the Agbor kingdom, and prayed that God Almighty grant the Dein many more years of peace, prosperity, and joy.
“May this new year of life bring you continued strength, wisdom, and good health to reign. As a government, we look forward to continuing our partnership and collaboration for the betterment of our dear state”, Guwor added.
The Speaker congratulated the people of the Agbor kingdom, particularly the member representing Ika South and Deputy Majority Leader of the State Assembly, Hon Festus Okoh, on the birthday celebration of their king and urged them to remain supportive of the reign of the Dein.
