Delta State Government has presented palliatives, comprising several bags of maize and garri, to the Yoruba, Arewa and Muslim communities in the state
Senior Special Assistant to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori on Hausa/Fulani Affairs, Alhaji Usman Muktar, who disclosed this while receiving the palliatives, said each of the communities would be catered for in the sharing of the palliative items.
Alhaji Muktar said the items would be shared to the beneficiaries across the 25 local government areas of the state, emphasizing that the gesture was not political, as Governor Sheriff Oborevwori had always maintained that he is the Governor of all Deltans, that is, all residents of the state
He explained that the maize and garri would be distributed through the sarkis in all the local government areas of the state and commended the Governor for carrying the Yoruba and Arewa communities along in his policies and programmes.
Muktar urged the Hausa and Fulani communities in the state to remain law-abiding and to be supportive of the Oborevwori administration, stressing the need for them to always pray for the Governor and his cabinet.
