HIS Royal Majesty, Macaulay Onojomete Popo Ovbagbedia JP, Was born in 1933 at Ovwor Olomu in Ughelli South Local Government Area.
After school, he joined the Nigeria Police Force from the central criminal investigating department, then after successful training at the Southern Police College, ikeja, he was sent back to CID as a Detective Officer.
After five and half years as a Detective Officer, he was posted to Police force headquarters where he rose to the rank of assistant superintendent of police staff officer establishment.
After so many years as a staff officer establishment, he was posted to Bendel State, where he rose to the rank of Assistant Commissioner of Police, before he retired in February 1982. While in the force, he attended detective course at the scout yard in England.
After retirement, he became a Group Liaison officer in Ibru Organization for over 28 years before he finally returned home.
And while at home, he was a strong member of the Urhobo Progress Union (UPU), and once a Deputy President General and member of the Board of Trustees.
He was the Otota/spokesman of Olomu kingdom for 35 years before he was crowned as the traditional ruler of the kingdom on May 20th 2023 and given staff of office by the Governor Sheriff Oborevworion September 20th 2023.
