THE Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom, HRM (Dr) Emmanuel Sideso has affirmed that he owns and creates etches (traditional administrative units) in Uvwie Kingdom.
The Uvwie monarch made the affirmative in his address in an enlarged meeting with the Onosiri, Owhe and Umuavbaren families of Etche R‘Ogbe (traditional administrative unit) in Uvwie Kingdom at his palace in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area.
The highly respected traditional ruler also explained that etches were created for administrative purposes. He said that one Chief Francis Ogun of the Owhe Family was de-robed of his chieftaincy by the executive committee of the Uvwie Traditional Council of Chiefs due to his alleged misconduct.
The Ovie of Uvwie Kingdom was responding to questions by the spokesman of the Owhe Family, Peace Okoledo, at the said meeting.
Okoledo had among other things, asked to know who owns etches in Uvwie Kingdom and also pleaded that Chef Francis Ogun should be reinstated as a chief of Uvwie Kingdom.
