Insecurity: Asagba Of Asaba Bans Non-Asaba Ndi Ezewanyi, Others

Due to the recent insecurity in the neighboring states, the Asagba of Asaba, Obi Prof Epiphany Azinge (SAN), has abolished the activities of non-indigenous Ndi Eze Nwanyi in Asaba, the Delta State capital.

The decision was taken during the executive meeting of Asagba in council, yesterday at the palace.

They decision also restricted the visit of non-indigenes to the Onishe shrine.

According to the statement after the meeting says “Arising from the Asagba Executive Council meeting held, yesterdy, it is hereby directed that, effective immediately, all the activities of Ndi Eze Nwanyi who are not natives of Asaba are totally banned”
All male native/traditional medicine practitioners who are not registered with the appropriate bodies will not be allowed to practice in Asaba.

The statement also says with effective immediately, non-natives of Asaba are hereby restricted from visiting the Onishe shrine. All non-natives who wish to assess the Onitshe shrine must be registered by the Otu-Ihaza. Ndi Ahaba who wish to visit or worship at Onishe shall get clearance from Otu-Ihaza. This is to enable close monitoring of those who visit the shrine.

There will be severe consequences should anyone flaunt these royal directives, the monarch said.
