THE leadership of Isoko and Itsekiri youths have expressed gratitude to President Bola Tinubu for the appointment of Chief Dennis Otuaro as the Coordinator, Presidential Amnesty Programme. (PAP), describing the action as well-thought out.
In a statement jointly issued by Comrade Karo Edor and Comrade Oritseneye Ikomi, on behalf of Isoko and Itsekiri youth leadership, which was made available to journalists, the group said they are grateful to the President for appointing “one of their own to head the Presidential Amnesty Office.”
While calling for total support of Niger Delta people for the current PAP leadership, Comrade Edor and Comrade Ikomi, noted that what Dr. Otuaro needed now was necessary support of all stakeholders and required ambience to enable him carry out his vision, aimed at repositioning the office for greater efficiency.
“We wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to the President for appointing Dr. Dennis Otuaro as the Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP). Given his rich profile and enviable track record, we have no doubt, that the new Amnesty boss will reposition the Office to achieve the desired result”.
“We believe that Chief Otuaro’s appointment is a testament to his dedication, expertise and commitment to the development of the Niger Delta. His leadership and vision will undoubtedly bring about a new era of peace, progress and prosperity.
The youth leaders, who called on all stakeholders and youth organizations in the Niger Delta to rally behind Chief Otuaro and support his efforts to drive the Presidential Amnesty Programme, harped oo the need to work together to build a brighter future for the oil-rich Niger Delta.
They further assured that the Niger Delta youths will continue to stand solidly behind Otuaro as PAP Coordinator.
