… As Pemu Drums Support For PDP

BY FELIX EVWIHOR

As preparations for the local government election in Delta State draw closer, a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Sapele Local Government Area,Chief Akpufuoma Pemuhas called on Deltans to actively participate in the electoral process, just as he drummed support for the PDP.

Chief Pemu, who is also the Second Commissioner in the State Civil Service Commission, made this call during an interactive session with newsmen in Asaba.

According to him, idleness and lack of trust for the electoral process would not in any way bring the desired change being clamoured for.

“As humans, we all desire a better living condition, and this is mostly determined by the policies and programmes of the government in power. Our desired goals can only be achieved when we come out to vote for candidates who have the vision and strategies to implement them.”

“If you look at the happenings in the country now, you will agree with me that priority is not placed on the welfare of citizens. This is exactly what you get when wrong persons are voted into power. For me, this is another opportunity to change the narrative as persons elected now will manage the affairs of the LGA for the next three years, which for me is not a joke,” Pemu added.

He, therefore, appealed to Deltans to go out to vote massively for all the PDP candidates across the 25 local government areas of the state in the upcoming elections.
