Isoko South Council Boss Charges Staff To Uphold Work Ethics

By Samson Ogowewo

THE Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area of Delta State, Hon. Friday Warri, has urged the staff of the council to avoid absenteeism, truancy, and lateness to work, which is against civil service regulations.

The chairman made this call in his office in Oleh, headquarters of the council, when he resumed recently.

Hon. Warri promised to utilize the council’s funds judiciously for the overall development of the entire local government area. He expressed delight at being elected Chairman of Isoko South Local Government and credited his success to God Almighty.

The chairman lauded the Head of Personnel Management, Mrs. Mary Ofogbor, for her excellent management of the local government over the past three months. Ofogbor, earlier in her welcome address, shared her achievements and expressed confidence in the chairman’s ability to continue  with the progress made, just as she presented her handover notes to the new chairman.

Prayers were offered for him by respected religious leaders, led by Rt. Revd. John Aruakpo, Bishop of Oleh Diocese of the Anglican Communion; the chairman then received anointing for his new assignment.
