Keep Accurate Records Of Activities, LG Boss Tells Supervisory Councillors

THE Chairman of Isoko South Local Government Area, Comrade Ovoke Friday Warri, has charged newly appointed supervisors councillors to be proactive and to keep accurate records of their official responsibilities.

The local government boss gave the charge during the recent swearing in ceremony of the four Supervisory councillors after their screening by the legislative arm which led by Rt. Hon Abizire Bright Olokor.

Those sworn in are; Ogu Smith Michael from Oleh ward 1, Abedi Goodluck Oghenefejiro from Emede Ward, Onorimuo Oghenemano Chris from Irri ward and Ejabulor Joseph Onowakor from Enwhe ward.

The local government boss said while addressing them to note that jamboree days are over when supervisory councillors will not be seen within their areas of jurisdiction to relate with the people directly, adding that, it is essential that records are kept for accountability.

According to him, the civil service is most sensitive because they provide useful history of event, decisions and actions including the indices of productivity hence the call for responsiveness and accountability.

Speaking on behalf of the new appointees, Joseph Ejabolor Onowakor lauds the Chairman for the confidence reposed on them among the lots in the local government, to serve in their various official portfolios as they took the oath of allegiance which was administered by the Clark of the local government council, Barr (Mrs.) Ethel Eghaire.
