Sapele LG Chairman Okays Arewa Trade Hub
BY HOPE AKAEZUE/SAPELE
IN a commitment to community-driven solutions and enhanced livelihood, Chairman of Sapele Local Government Area, Chief Afure Abeke has given the green light for the Arewa community to establish a vibrant trade hub, ushering in a new era of growth and prosperity.
Chief. Bright Afure Abeke disclosed this recently when he received the youth wing of the Arewa community to his executive chambers, paving the way for a fruitful collaboration.
The meeting, which brought together notable leaders and youths of the Arewa community, shed light on the challenges faced by Sapele residents, including inflated prices of food commodities, which often compel traders to travel to Warri in search of better deals.
Alhaji Taminu Adamu, a respected Arewa leader and politician, expressed his gratitude to the chairman for approving the Koko garage as a designated offloading point for food items, a move that promises to make essentials more accessible and affordable for the people of Sapele.
The representative of the Council chairman and Council Secretary, Hon.Raymond Overah, commended the Arewa community for their cooperation and collaborative spirit, which has been instrumental in driving the initiative forward.
The chairman urged the Arewa community to continue delivering exceptional service, warning that any attempts to hinder the progress of the Abeke administration would be met with the full force of the law.
The Arewa youth executives, led by Mr. Bala Muhammed, Mr. Ahmodu Ibrahim, and Hon. Nasiru Ado, were instrumental in facilitating the meeting and paving the way for this groundbreaking initiative.
