Aniocha North Local Government, through the peace and security committee has slammed a ban on motorcycle operations between 9pm and 6am.
The ban was designed to curb criminal activities and to help monitor the activities of die-hard Fulani herdsmen and bandits who operate with motorcycles at night.
In statement signed by the Secretary to Local Government (SLG), Hon. Kennedy Okoh stated that sequel to the current security challenges experienced over the years, the peace and security committee having analyzed exhaustively the threats to lives and properties in the locality have henceforth imposed a ban on movement of motorcycles from 9pm to 6am within Aniocha North Local Government Area with immediate effect.
The Police, DSS, NSCDC, vigilante group, anti-cult group, Anioma Security Watch and other security structures have been alerted on the latest development.
