THE Chairman of Oshimili North Local Government, Hon. Innocent Esewezie has, in the company of the traditional ruler of Okpanam kingdom, His Majesty (Dr.) Michael Mbanefo Ogbolu, performed the ground-breaking ceremony of an Ultramodern Primary Healthcare Centre (PHC) in Okpanam.
The well-attended event took place at the premises of the health center in Obodogba quarters, Okpanam where the new project is sited.
According to the local government chairman, the beautiful edifice when completed will have facilities such as a new Administrative block, Pharmacy/store, a waiting Hall, Consultation Room, female and male wards.
Others includes; immunization room, family planning unit, Doctors’ offices, Break room, Labour unit, Laying ward, as well as Nurses rooms.
The Ugoani Okpanam Kingdom, His Majesty, Michael Ogbolu, who was in an elated mood, performed the ground-breaking ceremony and laid the first stone to mark the official commencement of the project.
The project is being handled by prominent indigenous contractor, Luthermario Construction Ltd.
Hon. Esewezie, who spoke on the importance of the Community as a strategic part of the State Capital Territory, urged the people to continue to support both his administration and that of the State Governor, Rt Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori. He assured the people of Okpanam on the speedy completion of the project.
Among those present at the ceremony include, Onwa of Ibusa, Chief Fred Ajudua, Mr Olise Ifeajika, Mr. Ken Mafua, Chief Joseph Iwegbu, prominent PDP members and community Leaders.
