A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State, Chief Ayiri Emami has assured Deltans that APC will fully participate in the forthcoming local government elections in the state.
Ayiri gave this assurance in Warri during the presentation of APC flags and campaign materials to the candidates of APC in Warri South, Warri South West and Warri North local government areas.
Ajiri urged the APC candidates to campaign at the wards and ensure that APC remains a viable party poised to bring the necessary change the people needed, adding that the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC) should conduct a free and fair election for true winners to emerge at the polls.
“As regards the forthcoming local government election, we are fully ready to participate, I urged our candidates to go out and campaign, if a free and fair election is conducted by DSIEC our candidates will win the three Warri Local Government Areas. Election materials should be fairly distributed to all wards so that people can vote for the candidates of their choice.
“There should be transparency in this election..” He urged the people to go out and vote and also ensure that their votes are protected, assuring that the people are ready to cast their votes if adequate security is provided for voters.
The APC candidate in Warri South, Prince Francis Yonwuren said that there is no going back, assuring that by the grace of God, APC emerge victorious.
“My administration, if elected, will run an open-door policy; there will be transparency and accountability. I will promote peace and unity. I will transform Warri South.”
The APC candidate of Warri, South West, Hon. Bene Mamamu said they were fully ready to participate in the local government election. He promised to campaign widely, adding that he is sure of victory.
The APC candidate of Warri North, Chief Samuel Omamuli said he will campaign at all the wards with the assurance of delivering the dividends of democracy if elected. Chief Omamuli assured he will deliver Warri North to APC “by the grace of God.”
