ANIOCHA North Labour party chairmanship candidate for Saturday’s polls, Dr. Augustine Ojogbo has called on the people of the local government to get set for accelerated development..
Ojogbo spoke during an interview at Issele-Uku shortly after campaign rallies.
The LP chairmanship candidate said, “the people of Aniocha North should embrace new light of accountability and development by voting for me and all the councillorship candidates of LP.
He said he could provide the people their desires of sustained development and dividend of democracy.
Ojogbo said he would abolish casualisation of workers and give them permanent jobs as well as engage indigent teachers.
According to him, where permanent jobs are not immediately possible, he would engage them and pay allowances equivalent to minimum wage. He stated that if elected he would collaborate with the state and federal governments to re-activate the water projects in the area and where necessary establish new ones for the benefit of the people.
He pledged the commitment of his administration, if voted into office, to give Issele-Uku massive facelift deserving of a modern local government headquarters.
He also disclosed that he would establish a mini modern abbatoir a standard meat shop through private public partnership in the area to provide hygienically and wholesome meat for the citizenry.
He said he had visited the various communities in the area twice and that the people were happy about what is to happen for the upliftment of their living standard and development of the area.
The chairmanship candidate also disclosed that he was working in synergy with the councillorship candidates to mobilise the people to vote enmasse for the victory of LP.
Ojogbo said that all the challenges likely to undermine their victory had been surmounted as the party has mobilised credible agents to monitor all the 153 polling units in the council area.
