THE traditional ruler of Abah-Uno kingdom, Obi Innocent Maduabunachukwu 11, has called on Delta State Government, philanthropists for help as the only secondary school in his community has been destroyed by rainstorm, asking for timely intervention before school resume.
Obi Maduabunachukwu made the appeal while speaking with newsmen in his palace at Abah- Uno, Aniocha South Local Government Area of the State.
While appealing to the state government to come to the aid of his community, he said the school children now lack a comfortable environment to study, adding that teaching and learning has become very difficult.
He noted that education was the bedrock of every nation, hence he is presently sad because according to him, the school children in the area will not be having any place to study on resumption.
Obi Maduabunachukwu called on well to do individuals, philanthropists from the community and the state at large to come to the aid of the people.
He said the major road of Abah-Uno and Adonte communities is in bad shape, saying that farmers in the two communities now find it very difficult to transport their farm produce to the urban areas, describing the situation as tiresome.
The monarch called on the people of the area to continue to live in peace and unity for the purpose of development, noting that development does not go to a place of rancour and disunity.
