MONARCHS from Igbanke and Obazogbon communities, alongside their subjects, gathered in Idumuje-Ugboko, Aniocha North Local Government Area of Delta State to express solidarity and support for Senator Ned Nwoko’s push for the creation of Anioma State.
Recall that the Mount Ned Resort has become a key venue for supporters of the bill, with various dignitaries and groups showing their appreciation for Nwoko’s efforts in the Senate.
Traditional rulers of Ottah-Igbanke and Obazagbon, HRM Dr. Isitor Julius and HRM Evans Anthony, both voiced strong support for the creation of Anioma State.
Speaking at the event, the Obazagbon monarch affirmed, “Anioma State will come and stay; it is a movement, and God will be behind you. We are all solidly behind you. We are learned people, and we understand the value of freedom.”
Echoing this sentiment, HRH Evans Anthony pledged the unwavering support of his community, affirming that all traditional rulers in the area stood behind Senator Nwoko’s initiative.
In addition, a prominent socio-cultural pressure group, the Ugo Anioma group, visited the senator to reaffirm their backing for the bill and inquire about its progress in the legislative process.
