NADESSTU Honours OMO Foundation for Commitment to Educational Development

The National Association of Delta State Students (NADESSTU WORLDWIDE) has honored Dr. Oritsegbegbemi Maurice, Founder of OMO Foundation, with the prestigious Champion of Educational Development award in recognition of his significant contributions to education.

The award comes in light of the foundation’s latest initiative, which provided free JAMB registration for 1,000 students in Koko, Warri North LGA. The leadership of NADESSTU, who witnessed the registration process firsthand, described the initiative as a commendable effort that not only eases financial burdens on students but also motivates them to excel academically.

Speaking on the foundation’s impact, NADESSTU National President, Comr. Wiska Monday, highlighted OMO Foundation’s longstanding commitment to education.

“The foundation recently marked its 5th anniversary, celebrating over five years of unwavering support for students. They have fully funded scholarships for students who score over 250 in JAMB, helping them achieve their academic dreams,” he stated.

Beyond education, the OMO Foundation has also initiated programs supporting youth development in sports, provided cash assistance to aged mothers and young people, and spearheaded water projects in underserved communities.

He noted that Dr. Maurice’s dedication to community development and youth empowerment continues to make a lasting impact, reinforcing the foundation’s mission of giving back to society for the greater good.
