NADESSTU Lauds Oborevwori’s Commitment To Student Welfare

The National Association of Delta State Students (NADESSTU) has commended the founder of the Sheriff Care Foundation, Mr. Sheriff Oborevwori jnr. for his steadfast commitment to enhancing student and indigent welfare in the state.

This commendation was conveyed on Friday during a courtesy call by the NADESSTU President, Comrade Monday Wiska, and other delegates of the association.

During the meeting, Wiska highlighted the foundation’s significant contributions to Delta State students. He remarked that since the inception of his administration, Oborevwori has consistently backed various programmes designed to uplift students in the state.

“Our visit is aimed to acknowledge Mr. Oborevwori for his generous assistance through the Sheriff Jnr Care Foundation, which has had a profound impact on our students and the broader community including the less privileged,” Wiska said.

During the visit, NADESSTU presented Oborevwori with a roll-up banner as a token of appreciation and honoured him with the NADESSTU Merit Award for his exceptional dedication to supporting both students and the elderly.

“As a philanthropist, Mr. Junior Oborevwori has touched numerous lives across that state. His efforts include the distribution of relief materials such as food items, as well as cash gifts and vehicles, alongside assistance with hospital bills to the elderly,” he added.

Wiska also took the opportunity to share the association’s accomplishments with Oborevwori Jr, who expressed admiration for NADESSTU’s progress during his tenure as president, including the establishment of the NADESSTU Centre for Entrepreneurship and Excellence among other initiatives.
