BY AMBROSE OLOGIDE

The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Delta State chapter, has elected a new executive committee and expressed gratitude to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori for approving bursary payments for Delta State students.

This was stated in a communiqué issued following the association’s convention held at the College of Education, Warri.

The association encouraged students to align with Governor Oborevwori’s MORE Agenda in education, emphasizing the benefits of the bursary approval. The communiqué also reiterated NANS Delta’s dedication to opposing fee hikes in both Delta State and Nigeria at large.

In congratulating the newly-elected NANS Joint Campus Council executive for Delta State, the communiqué called for greater cooperation among campuses across the state.

It also praised the National President of NANS, Comrade Lucky Emonefe, for his commitment to peace and his efforts in ensuring a smooth leadership transition in Delta and other states.
