A one-day sensitization on the implementation progress for all stakeholders, sons and daughters of Ndokwa East Petroleum Communities holds on Wednesday, April 3, 2025 at the Ndokwa East Local Government Council Hall, Aboh at 10am.
A statement by Mecco and Marine Holdings Limited, on behalf of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC) said the sensitization is to ensure that host communities enjoy their direct socio – economic benefits of petroleum operations.
The programme will also enable the organizers collate actionable intelligence on host communities’s activities as it relates to the mandate of the Petroleum Industry Act and facilitate compliance to the provisions of chapter 3 of the PIA .
It is also aimed at providing timely and accurate information to the commission regarding non – compliance by the Host Communities Development Trustees (HCDTs ) / or settlor within the applicable laws.
The statement made it clear that registration and documentation of participants will commence at 9 am on the dot while invited guests are expected to be seated at the venue at 9.30am.
