Majority Leader, Delta State House of Assembly (DTHA) and member representing Aniocha North Constituency, Hon. (Dr.) Emeka Nwaobi has lauded the media, in particular, the Assembly correspondents for their unwavering support, commitments and balanced reportage of the Assembly’s activities.
The Majority Leader, who gave the commendation during an interface with the Assembly correspondents to wrap up the year, noted that through their reportage, they have projected the activities of the House to the larger society.
At a low key get-together in his office, the Majority Leader and Chairman, House Committee on Information appreciated the media for their unwavering support and projecting the activities of the state legislature to the world, saying they had always conducted themselves and reported the activities of the House in a timely manner.
He assured them that going forward, the relationship and partnership that had been built would be sustained for greater benefits.
Commending the Majority Leader, Head of Assembly Correspondents and Pointer Newspaper reporter, Mr. Andrew Ikehi highlighted the resilience, resourcefulness and incisiveness of the House, acknowledging the fact that Hon. Nwaobi has distinguished himself as House Leader.
Earlier, Ikehi affirmed that the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Guwor and the House have proven to be a different kind of parliamentarians, while assuring that the journalists covering the House would always do their work diligently to ensure that parliamentary information is properly disseminated to Deltans in the interest of harmony, growth and development of the state.
