THE Obi of Umunede, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Ezeagwu Ezenwali 1 has given an office and a Qlink CG Motor Cycle to the Nigeria Hunters and Forestry Security Services (NHFSS), in Umunede to assist them in carrying out effective community policing in the area.
Presenting the keys of the office, which is located along Ekwuoma Road in Umunede and the new motorcycle in his Palace, Dr Ezeagwu Ezenwali 1 said that the disposition was to assist the security group in the conduct of their security surveillance, intelligence and operations in the area.
He advised them to make good useof the building and motorcycle with proper maintenance, adding that the donations should not be channel into personal selfish use by members of the group.
The Delta State Commander of Nigeria Hunters and Forestry Security Services, Ambassador Jonathan Obokuwhomu thanked the monarch for his generosity and passion towards crime fighting, adding that the gesture would spur further them to redoubled efforts in complementing the roles of other security agencies in securing the lives and property of the people in Umunede kingdom.
Amb. Obokuwhomu, who was represented by the state administrator of NHFSS, Prince Ebube Jegbefume assured the Umunede Monarch that the items would be used for the purpose they were meant for.
He used the medium to call on other traditional rulers in the area to emulate the gesture and commitments of the Umunede Monarch towards curbing the insecurity in his domain. The State NHFSS Commander appreciated the Divisional Police Officer in Umunede Police Station, SP Tanko Jandwa for his support and advice to his NHFSS Officers.
