Former Councilor representing Okpare-Olomu Ward in Ughelli South Local Government Area, Chief Hon. Dennis Obodje has commended Gov. Sheriff Oborevwor for appointing Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu as Executive Director in the Delta State Oil Producing Area Development Commission (DESOPADEC).
Chief Obodje gave the commendation during a phone call conversation with reporters, stating that the appointment of Olorogun Dr. Ebenezer Okorodudu was a great honour to the people of Okpare-Olomu, adding that such well-deserved appointment can only come when you have a man with conscience at the helms of affairs.
He described the appointment as a huge relief and consolation to the people of Okpare-Olomu, who lost one of their most illustrious sons suddenly.
“The death of Hon. Taleb Tebite shattered all of us, and we were crying and saying God how can we attain this height again politically, but the Governor understood our plights and pains and chose another illustrious son of the soil who is also capable to take over. It is only a Godly man that can do this, and i must tell you we all are overwhelmed with joy.”
He stated that Governor Oborevwori understood the pains of the people and the loss of Olorogun Sir Taleb Tebite, and out of compassion he again gave back same position to one of their most respected and well learned brother and son.
He said it was appreciable and a joyful thing hence he was congratulating both Dr. Okorodudu and the Governor.
Chief Obodje, who said Olorogun Okorodudu is a right choice for the job, congratulated him and expressed gratitude to the Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, adding that the Governor knew the vacuum the demise of Olorogun Sir Taleb Tebite has created.
He pledged his total support and loyalty to the Oborevwori administration, maintaining that the people of Okpare-Olomu will fully support the MORE Agenda of the governor and vote him fully come 2027 for his second term in office.
