The Governor of Delta State, Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, has announced the appointment of new members to the Traditional Medicine and Tourism Boards.
This decision reflects the administration’s commitment to promoting traditional medicine practices and enhancing the state’s tourism sector.
The Traditional Medicine Board will be chaired by Chief Dr. Ogbogodorm Ogumu from Delta North. He will be joined by a diverse group of members, including Dr. Faith Odis from Delta Central, Dr. Ezekiel Alihomuwe from Delta South, and fellow Delta North representatives Dr. Nwaka Godwin and Dr. Iwale Christopher.
Additional members include Dr. Mrs. Akpogene Eiwebunakiti from Delta South and Dr. Nelson Idiakpona from Delta Central.
Meanwhile, the Tourism Board will be led by Rt Hon Ochor Christopher Ochor. His team includes Chief Mrs. Esther Okotie Eboh, Chief Shedrack Imonioro, and Dr. Genevieve Uzoma M. Mordi, all of whom are poised to contribute their expertise towards bolstering Delta State’s tourism initiatives.
A statement from the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Kingsley Emu, confirmed that the inauguration date for the newly appointed members will be announced soon.
This strategic move is expected to foster the growth of traditional practices and elevate the profile of Delta State as a premier tourism destination.
