Natives of Issele-Azagba community have commended Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sherriff Oborevwori for constructing a link road between Otulu, Issele-Uku and Ubulu-Okiti communities.
Speaking during a tour of the road, the President-General of Issele-Azagba community, Chief Patrick Isichei disclosed that for over 40 years, the road was dilapidated and not passable by either motorcycles or cars.
He said “the road was a death trap, a haven for criminality, but today, the Governor has elevated our status as a community” while, stressing that farmers can now access the two famous markets connecting Aniocha North and Aniocha South LGAs.
Isichei pointed out that the road, on completion would enhance commercial activities and ease the stress residents go through to access Issele-Uku, Ubulu-Okiti and Otulu markets, expressing gratitude to the Governor for the gesture.
He said that the people of Issele-Azagba would remain ever grateful to the Governor, while commending individuals who played a key role in making the project a reality.
