The Governor of Delta State, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori has urged Christians to pray for Nigeria.
He made the call, yesterday, at a special prayer summit organized by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Delta State Chapter at Agbarho.
According to the Governor, who was represented at the occasion by his Deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme; “In Delta State, we understand the efficacy of prayers, so, do not relent in praying for Nigeria.
“Pray for a Nigeria where there will be job opportunities, a progressive and peaceful nation.”
He expressed confidence that with God, his administration would be delivering on its mandate through the MORE Agenda.
Earlier, in his address, the PFN Chairman Delta State, Bishop Abos Willie noted that the one-day prayer submit was geared towards praying for government of Delta State, the church and Nigeria for more developments and relative peace.
The guest speaker, Pastor Korede Komaiya, while delivering a sermon, said that Delta is blessed with a Governor that has the fear of God in him, noting that the state would witness a lot of positive transformation.
